Rabbit
Rabbits produce a tasty albeit lean meat. Depending on the cut of rabbit, and it's age at slaughter, the various cuts are suited to different methods of cooking. There are many breeds of rabbits, each being suited in its own way to meat production, fur production, as pets, or any combination of the three. Two particularly good breeds for meat production are the Californian and the New Zealand. Rabbits have been a popular game animal in the past, and still are somewhat, but due to their high susceptibility to various diseases that can be transmitted to humans it's best to consume rabbits that have been raised on farms for their meat.
